January Holidays | Special Days of the Year
January is a month that the Romans named after God Janus, the God of the Gateway. This is because January is the gateway to the New Year, and is most commonly welcomed through a celebration of great enthusiasm and enthusiasm – not to mention the New Year’s resolution usually! But wait?
Do you know that January 17 is the day to ditch your New Year’s resolution? Or that January 1 is Hangover Day?
By the way, January is infrequent and full of strange days!
Here is the unique and Interesting January Holidays from our series of Special Days of the Year.
January 1 – New Year Day, Hangover Day, and Z Day
New Year Day
New Year Day is all about Fun. People do parties and bring new with optimism as it is a new beginning. On this day, we say Bye-Bye! to the old year and stepped into a New Year with different Resolutions.
Hangover Day
As we talked earlier, millions of us do parties on New Year’s Eve… And then, we partied so hard and got Drunked. New year’s eve is followed by the biggest hangover… That is why it is called Hangover Day. This day is celebrated by getting through it!
Z Day
No, it is not a day that marks the rise of the dead, but rather Z Day celebrates people whose names begin with “Z”.

This Day means float an idea to see what people think, or if they notice. The term is commonly used in advertising and print media. Be creative today.
Use this day to try and test new ideas and concepts. Do not limit ideas to commercial applications. In your personal life, try a new dress or style of dress, maybe a different haircut. Or, maybe buy a new houseful and run the flagpole to see if anyone salutes … or even notices.
Pet Safety Travel Day
The day exists to raise awareness about the dangers of traveling with an unsafe pet in your car. Pretty Interesting! Isn’t it?
January 3 – Festival of Sleep Day, Humiliation Day, Fruitcake Toss Day, Drinking Straw Day

The Festival of Sleep Day is a favorite holiday to catch for a short sleep. This is an opportunity to sleep. Whether its a full day, 8 hours, or just a power nap, enjoy sleeping during the day.
We think 3 January is the perfect date for the festival of Sleep Day. The holidays are over… Wow, were they not exhausting! It’s cold and snowy… Time to Hibernate yourself, And, why not re-charge the battery. As a new year of school and work? Bend on the couch, or be comfortable in any other comfortable place. Oh …. don’t forget your favorite stuffed toy.
Fruitcake Toss Day
After the start of the New Year, it’s time to toss your old fruitcakes and bring some new ones.
Fruitcake tossing runs counter to the tradition of many people to pass fruitcakes around from one person to another. In this tradition, the person holding the fruitcake on the new year should store it until the next Christmas season
If you don’t toss fruitcake today, you have to keep it until next Christmas
Humiliation Day
Humiliation Day is not a day to humiliate someone. Rather, it should be seen as a time to recognize the negativity.
Perhaps many people associate humility with modesty. So, they think that today is the day to be humble. Being polite is of good quality. Insult is a negative perception that is placed on someone.
Let us all use this special day, to remind you to avoid offending anyone for any reason.
Drinking Straw Day
The day marks the creation of modern drinking straws and is celebrated by drinking all-day fluids through a straw!
It is not even a plastic straw, why not one you can reuse?
